Review(s): "Anderson and Palkovic have been cooking with solar energy for more than two decades, and they self-published an earlier version of this book in 1994. Solar cooking has been getting attention lately for a variety of reasons (e.g., inexpensive solar cookers can make a huge difference to people in developing nations who are living in poverty), and "more advanced" - and more expensive cookers - have been in the news. But the cardboard cooker the authors put together in the early 1980s still works fine for them. Here they include instructions for building such a cooker, the 'ABC's of Solar Cooking,' lists of resources, and more, along with recipes for snacks, appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Unfortunately, the recipes are somewhat mundane (and it's rather surprising that many of them use ingredients such as canned cream soups), but the book could stand on the information it provides about solar cooking." - Library Journal

"On this earth the time for solar cookers has (urgently) come. I have been cooking with the sun for years, and 'Cooking with Sunshine' takes away the mystery and brings the deliciousness and adventure of solar cooking to the reader." - Mary Frank, artist

"A great solar cookbook. 'Cooking with Sunshine' captures the fun and convenience many of us enjoy every sunny season. Where solar cookers can be used year-round they can save a ton of wood or its equivalent. They could reduce smoke- and water-borne diseases for 1 billion people on earth, and someday soon they will." - Bev Blum, founder of Solar Cookers International and a solar cook for twenty years

"An excellent book - enjoyable reading, including the excitement and thrill of actually cooking with the sun - with all the information plus wonderful recipes. Thank you for publishing this!" - Sherry Cole, solar cooking pioneer and cofounder of the Kerr-Cole Sustainable Living Cente
